To this end, Scott also offers à la carte, individualized coaching as an alternative or add-on to the full Open Road program.

what's involved

Scott uses a basic framework to approach one-one-on gap year coaching.


As with everything Open Road, however, each coaching plan is customized to the individual and oriented around the Pioneer's needs and goals.


1.

Initial consultations (1 hour-long, free session w/family, followed by a one-on-one w/coach & Pioneer)

2.

Guided reflection exercises that inform setting intentions and measurable goals for the forthcoming year

3.

Defining milestones and actions that support goals (think outreach, community engagement, and tactical steps like housing, budgeting, and calendaring)

4.

Identifying optimal check-in cadence with family, self, peers, and coach
